Hellacious Movies Movie Review : 300 was a feast for the eyes! The special effects and
the manipulation of Slow Mo was pure genius! The one liners were bang on! The
featured sound tracks enhanced each scene magnificently! We have all heard of the Perfect
Storm, this would be my definition of the Perfect Movie! An Instant Classic! A Must See!
Never before has the big screen captured the essence of the Spartans Code
Honor, Duty and Glory! Never Retreat! Never Surrender!
While the movie took a few hits from the critics I have to interject as a movie lover the success
of a movie does not depend upon accuracy, it depends upon whether it was able to capture my
imagination, and whether I bought into the journey unfolding on the big screen! I was taken aback
by the visual presentation and special effects! It was a visual smorgasbord for the eyes!
We have all heard about the spartans but I could never wrap my head around a culture so immersed in
the glory of war and dying in battle that it is almost like a religeon, a moral code! 300 brought
it home for me that some cultures past and present find their identity and so-called salvation thru
fighting and dying on battlefields and streets! Had the creators promoted this film as being historically
accurate then yes I would of torn it to shreds! I took it at face value and was thoroughly entertained!
The Film 300 is loosely based on History! Nothing More, Nothing Less! So Get Over It!
