Hellacious Movies Movie Review : BIUTIFUL was about as ugly as a movie can get! It was painfully
slow and depressing! I was ecstatic when it finally came to an end! Reviews speak of redemption, what
redemption! His attempt at making things right backfired and innocent people died because he cut corners!
One reviewer spoke of how there could be beauty found in death! Is he kidding, watching the slow decline
of Uxbal (Javier Bardem) and his increasing episodes of pissing blood was horrific at best! I guess beauty
and ones interpetation of what they experienced on the screen is solely defined by the eyes of the beholder!
Personally I found nothing about this film to write home about! Perhaps I am not artsy fartsy enough to
recognize the pure genius of this movie! A pretentious, pompous attitude is mandatory to enjoy this film!
