Steven Brill Movie MR. DEEDS : Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler) the owner of a small
town pizzeria inherits 40 billion from his deceased uncle! Deeds must spend a few days in
New York to settle the estate! The plot thickens and the madness begins!
Hellacious Movies Movie Review: Mr. Deeds is not your typical Adam Sandler Flick! The potty
humor has gone awol! And for once Sandler plays a really sweet lovable guy! I'm afraid the hardcore
Sandler fans may be disappointed because it lacks farts, hocking loogies, urine, projectile vomiting,
jiggling jugs and a swarm of horn dogs! What it does have is story! And a side of Adam Sandler we don't
often see! It's a cute romantic comedy that reminds the ladies that there are still some nice guys out there!
Having read all of the negative reviews I have to ask the critic's a couple of questions!
Did we see the same movie!
And how long has that corncob been stuck up your kazoo! lol
Back to the review ;-) The two times that Adam Sandler does go ballistic is when he shows his chivalrous
side by defending the ladies! Which I thought was sweet! FYI Marty (Allen Covert) whom played the mugger
that Deeds beat up, was accidentally knocked out during the onscreen tussle when he slipped and fell
and cracked his noggin on the sidewalk and was out like a light for a whole minute!
Personally I enjoyed Adam Sandler's small town, nice guy schtick!
