Hellacious Movies Review: Interestingly enough even though this film was produced
on a small budget of around 140,000, it grossed over 30 million at the U.S. box office.
It is still just as terrifying now as it was at the drive in movie theater back in the day!
The kicker is at the time I saw this movie it was being touted as a True Story! Which turned
out to be totally untrue, however the murderer Ed Gein was it's inspiration. It is non stop
horror at it's best! The chainsaw had a full tank of gas and the bodies were stacking up!
It tackled Cannibalism one of worlds biggest taboo's, many countries banned it while
hardcore Horror Fans like myself lapped it up and couldn't seem to get enough!
1974 will forever be known as the birth year of the chainsaw wielding Leatherface!
